Flightline Studios ("we," "us," "our") builds aviation software and educational content, including Special Mission Dispatch Pro and ATC Simulator Pro. This policy explains what information our website and our apps do, and don't, collect. Data practices differ between our apps, so each one is covered in its own section below.
Special Mission Dispatch Pro is designed to work entirely on your device. It does not:
Everything you enter, your operator profile, aircraft, missions, and Logbook, is stored locally on your device using Apple's on-device storage frameworks. Deleting the app deletes that data. We never see it.
If you enable Lock Screen paging, the app uses Apple's local notification and Live Activity frameworks to alert you to an incoming task. These notifications are scheduled and delivered entirely on your device, we are not notified and no data leaves your device as a result.
ATC Simulator Pro is free to download and supported by ads, with an optional one-time purchase to remove them. Unlike Special Mission Dispatch Pro, it does work with a small number of third-party services to make that possible. Here's what each one does.
We use Google's Mobile Ads SDK (AdMob) to show a banner ad on the main menu and game-over screen, an interstitial ad paced to roughly every other trip back to the menu, and an optional rewarded video you can choose to watch to continue after a crash. None of these appear during live gameplay. Google's advertising SDK collects device identifiers (including your device's advertising identifier where tracking is permitted), IP address, and ad interaction data, under Google's own advertising data disclosures. We don't receive or store this data ourselves, it's collected and processed by Google to serve and measure ads.
On launch, the app asks for permission to track, using Apple's App Tracking Transparency framework, before any advertising SDK starts. If you allow tracking, your device's advertising identifier can be used to personalize and measure ads. If you decline, ads still show, just without personalization. You can change this choice at any time in your device's Settings under Privacy & Security → Tracking.
For users in the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom, we use Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP) to collect your consent choices for ads and tracking before any ad request or tracking prompt happens, in line with GDPR and UK data protection requirements.
The "Remove Ads" purchase is handled entirely through Apple's App Store and StoreKit. We don't collect any payment information ourselves, and completing the purchase only tells the app to stop showing the banner and interstitial ads (the opt-in rewarded continue stays available either way).
ATC Simulator Pro's voice command feature uses your microphone and Apple's on-device Speech framework to turn spoken instructions into in-game commands. We don't store or transmit your voice audio ourselves, recognition happens for the sole purpose of running that command. Apple's Speech framework may, depending on your device and settings, send audio to Apple's own servers to perform recognition, this is Apple's disclosed behavior and outside our control. The microphone is only active while you're actively issuing a voice command, shown by a visible "Listening" indicator.
ATC Simulator Pro has no account system, no user-generated content, and no analytics SDK beyond the advertising SDK described above.
This website (flightlinestudios.org) uses Google Analytics to understand basic traffic, which pages get visited, roughly how many people, nothing more. It's opt-in: when you first visit, a banner asks you to accept or decline before any analytics cookie is set. If you decline, or haven't answered yet, no analytics runs and no cookie is set. You can change your mind at any time by clearing your browser's site data for this domain, which will show the banner again.
When accepted, Google Analytics sets a cookie and collects your IP address (truncated/anonymized), the pages you visit, and general device/browser information. We don't use this to identify you personally, and we don't sell or share it beyond what Google's own processing requires to generate the traffic reports we see. See Google's Privacy Policy for how Google handles that data.
Beyond that, the site doesn't use advertising or tracking scripts. If you email us for support, we'll have your email address and whatever you send us, used only to respond to you, never sold or shared.
Our products are not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. Special Mission Dispatch Pro doesn't collect information from anyone. ATC Simulator Pro's advertising partner, Google, operates its own compliance measures for child-directed treatment under COPPA and similar regulations.
If this policy changes, for example, if a future product's data practices differ from what's described here, we'll update this page and revise the date above.
